Biography

Gabriel is an undergraduate Computer Technology student at JKUAT and an intern at the JKUAT Social Robotics Lab. His main project involves developing a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) backend using FastAPI, ChromaDB, and LLM APIs to power grounded vocal responses for the NAO humanoid robot on neurodiversity topics. In addition to his focus on this system, he actively supports general lab operations, digital infrastructure, and web development. His expertise spans NAOqi integration, Android Studio QiSDK development for Pepper, and maintaining lab platforms to advance reliable, knowledge-grounded Human-Robot Interaction.
